Financial Institutions Act Province of British Columbia
The Financial Institutions Act requires that the information contained in this Disclosure Notice be provided to the customer in writing at the time of entering into an insurance transaction.
- Herchmer Ins. Agencies Ltd. is licensed as a General Insurance Broker by the Insurance Council of British Columbia
- This transaction is between you and the insurance company issuing the policy
- In soliciting the transaction described, I am representing Herchmer Ins. Agencies Ltd. who represents the Insurer(s) shown in the policy
- The nature and extent of Herchmer Ins. Agencies Ltd. interest in the insurer is none
- The nature and extent of the Insurer(s) interest in the agency is none
- Upon completion of this transaction, Herchmer Ins. Agencies Ltd. will be remunerated by way of commission or other remuneration will be paid to them by the insurer.
- The Financial Institutions Act prohibits the Insurer and /or Herchmer Ins. Agencies Ltd. from requiring you to transact additional or other business with them or any other person or corporation as a condition of this transaction.

On Jan 1, 2004 the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) will apply to a broad range of organizations including Herchmer Ins. Agencies Ltd. Among other things, PIPEDA governs the manner in which personal information is collected, used and disclosed.

- insurance underwriters or companies
- other insurers, agents or brokers
- professionals such as lawyers, doctors or adjusters working with us
- Credit & financial organizations such as your mortgage company
- Contracted service providers (Roadside and Travel Assistance)
May you withdraw your consent for us to collect, use and disclose your information?
You may, on reasonable notice, withdraw your consent to the collection, use or disclosure of your personal information. However, that may prevent or restrict our ability to provide you with the requested product or services.
